I love Lego Elves! I think the colors are so vivid. When I put my few
sets together I realize just how much cooler they are than I thought. When
I first purchased my sets I mostly purchased them because of the Elven
theme and the “pretty colors.” But when you actually build them you
realize how each set functions and they are so cool. For example, there’s
gears in the ship where the ships wheel turns the mast. Aira is the
crafty/inventor type. I feel when we put girls down for the “girly” things
they love it’s a huge part of the problem.
I don’t like the dools, but I’ve been watching all these reviews because
the design of the rest of the things.
Are the hair pieces removable, and do they fit on Minifig heads?

Ok, why does he do girl stuff
The colours used in this line are really nice
Hey! I was just wondering how you got the mat to the series? Can you buy
it? Btw I love watching your videos!
But Jang, I don’t want to go to the store and get looks from other
costumers and cashiers if I get one of these sets.
Looking nice all together.
Aside from the figures/dolls that aren’t my style for Lego, but what you
said, the parts that we could get on all of these sets are really great.
A treasure box for alot of MOC’ers out here i would say.
Doens’t matter if set’s are made for boys or girls, but girly sets give us
colors that we won’t get with more boylike ones.
Some people should think a bit more outside the box and should give “girly”
Lego stuff a fair chance.
So thanks Jang for your great reviews about the Elves-Series 🙂
So long, Cobra
I like the Elves mini dolls and love these sets. They’ve made me like the
regular Friends dolls more also and I think I will like them even more when
LEGO continue to expand the themes for the mini dolls.
I’ve really got into this theme 🙂 It really brings me back to my childhood
;)
JANG, I agree with pretty much everything you’ve said here. Heck, I wish
you’d emphasis a little bit more on how good the builds are, because they
really are awesome! But, that’s what your reviews are for. Great theme
overall, and I’m half complete. Hope I can get the rest and the Summer 2015
sets some day.
You must look like the gayest weirdo skipping round toys r us hands full of
pink baby toys :/
What you said in the intro is exactly what i say to everyone who criticize
me for watching My Little Pony, except replace “LEGO” with animation.
Definitely a great theme that brings a lot of new things to the table
without detaching from the regular format. Im not a fan of the dolls
either, the minifigure is way too iconic to be replaced imo, the structures
are more stylish than i thought LEGO even allowed.
I don’t really like the dolls much but I do have a few small friends sets.
Elves is more in my area of interests. It’s not meant for either guys or
girls or young or old I think. It’s aimed at a broad group of people
instead of girls or boys.
The colors and parts and building techniques from the first set I bought
are fun too. Definitely want to get more of them.
Im a boy but i still watch the friends and elves reviews because 1 i like
the way you review things and 2 is that the designs and pieces i see are
really cool!
I really don’t like the idea of there being certain lines aimed at certain
genders, especially since the ones aimed mostly at girls are often much
cooler and get much cooler stickers and pieces.
Well on a silver lining, the elves are perfectly compatible with the
Dwarves from the Hobbit sets.
These seem worth it for the transparent pieces alone. It’s just too bad
that more little girls don’t like the mini-figs. I can’t stand those dolls.
The theme is well done. However, I only buy sets with regular figs, and
usually only the yellow ones. If this theme had regular, yellow figs and
there was a little less pink, I would buy all of the sets.
I guess I’ll just pacify myself with the new Fantasy Castle sets coming out
next year. : D
*Crosses fingers for Elf Village*
Im a 15 yr old boy and i would like this set and probably buy it. But it
would make me seem gay because lego intended this set for females
We like these sets as well! All the new pieces are great! Plus a fox!
I’ve pretty much summed my thoughts up on this line in another comment.
Lovely sets, but I’m not a fan of how lego feels like they have to do
certain things to appeal to girls.
I like this series but think they could have made it a little more balance
for boys and girls. For example one set includes a hairbrush and mirror as
extra stuff for the figures to hold. I think they should have had something
boys were into also. Maybe a piece that made it look like magic was
shooting from their hands. I also don’t really like the minidolls but
mainly because they aren’t in scale to minifigs.
