Wonder why they didn’t “North Americanize” them Canadian and American
firetrucks have red emergency lights.
Pretty sure I had this set, unless the vehicles that came with the fire
station were very similar. I think my ladder had two sliding sections
though, so it could extend right out?
Hey, jang, what do you do with your classic sets after you’ve reviewed
them?
I love those classic fireman prints, and the boxy vehicle style is really
great too. I like how its not realistic, but you still know exactly what it
is.
I have that set in my collection. About a year ago my son started to get
really interested in duplo. Now it’s one of the items he plays with the
most. I got my old lego sets from my parents place and put them together
again.
I have the firestation from that same period and for me it’s one of the
most valuable sets in my collection. The only thing that’s not complete
anymore is the bike as. I still have it but it misses one side of the
steering bar. It brings back lot’s and lot’s of memory’s.
Trucks like that small brush truck(?) did exist, and they are about the
size of a smart car. But used for fire duties, I don’t know about that
though………. Just a funny moc idea: a police smart car that gives out
parking tickets. (Well, you have gotten more cars) :)
Is that hinge on the ladder one piece?
Awesome set.

Love it! I wanted to buy this one but the motorcycle was missing so i
didn’t buy it. Love the red motor. Classic stuff great set.
ow i wish i had one of those sets so so bad i like that truck
Loving the scale of these old sets. I prefer this over the six wide
vehicles lego produces now.
I seem to remember that there was a second ladder section on that ladder?
Or was that a later set perhaps?
Another classic set from my youth! I love watching your reviews because
they bring back memories I forgot I had.
Geez, seeing these trucks is giving me a very strong nostalgic feeling. Its
likely, because I had two of the early fire station sets, (6382 from 1983,
and 6385 from 1986,) that had similarly designed vehicles in them, other
than the bike. The little truck could have been based on a small truck, the
M24 or M25 which was produced by Multicar in Germany. Or at least that is
what it makes me think of.
Does anyone know what the part number is to that windscreen? The one on the
motorcycle.
I like the old school printed fire logo!
so much better than the new junk!
Fire smart car
2:40 not entirely! many rural fire stations now have Ranger, Gator, Mule,
or other UTV units to fight small brush fires that the big trucks can’t get
it!

The fire chief car may have gotten remade years later ’cause I have a fire
chief car set from Lego City.
